3a: Communicating with Students
3b: Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques
  • The photos and videos above show activities and how questions are asked given during lessons.

3c: Engaging Students in Learning
  • KWL Chart

    • This artifact is a KWL chart. This is one way that I can use to help engage students. I would give this to students before introducing the unit. This allows students to tell me what they already know, what they don't know and what they want to know.

  • Four A Text

    • This artifact is similar to the KWL chart, however this would be given after a current event or scientific article. Students have a chance to give their opinion and support it.   Students also have to option to explain how they are affected by what they read.

3d: Use Assessment in Instruction
  • The photos above show a variety of activities and review games we have played in my classes. Along with this activities students are answering questions and filling out worksheets .Labs are designed to test students knowledge of material taught. Review Games are designed off of Unit tests, midterms, or final exa ms. Examples of these materials can be seen under the sample materials tab at the top of this page.
